Born Jan. 16, 1940, in Berlin, son of Theodore and Mary (Maust) Brant. Preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Todd. Surviving are two sons, Jeff, married to the former Anna Dirkin, Cologne, Minn.; and John, Overland Park, Kan.; a grandson, Ryan; his former wife and friend, Ruth (Hay) Brant; brothers and sisters, Doretta, wife of Robert Wiltrout, Somerset; Eldon, married to former Phyllis Stahl, Winston Salem, N.C.; Samuel and Faith Maluchnick, Johnstown; and a sister-in-law, Janet (Pile) Brant, Friedens. After graduating from Shanksville Stonycreek High School in 1957, he served in the Army with duty in Korea. Employed as a driver by Heartland Express of Iowa City. Former resident of Mount Holly, N.J., where he served as a deacon at the First Presbyterian Church. A memorial will be placed on his parents' lot at St. Paul's (Ridge) Cemetery, Brothersvalley Township.
