Brant, 66, Somerset, died Nov. 8, 1986, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Nov. 25, 1920, in Somerset, son of Robert C. Brant, Somerset, and the late Maude (Rose) Brant. Also preceded in death by one daughter; brothers: Ronald and Elbert. Survived by his wife, the former Jean Wheling; and these children: Mrs. Barry (Kathy) Kallmann, Friedens RD 1; Mrs. Phillip (Julie) Peretti, Germantown, Md.; two grandchildren. Brother of: Mrs. Marguerite Ogline and Donald, both of Somerset RD 5; Elwood, Berlin; Mrs. Pauline Will, Somerset; Mrs. Fred (Rosaline) Gerhardt, Boulder, Colo. Member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset; VFW Somerset; Teamsters Local 453. Retired driver for Specht Plastics and the AARP. Served in World War II European Theater as a member of the 99th Infantry Regiment and also served in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Brant was a member of the American Legion. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Charles Olson officiating. Body will lie in state from noon until time of service. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
