Born Sept. 19, 1889, in Brothersvalley Township, son of late Jabez Wilson and Minnie (Knepper) Brant. Preceded in death by wife, the former Maude Effie Rose, who died May 17, 1965, and sons: Elbert, Elwood, Orval and Ronald Brant; also brothers: Cyrus and Judd Brant, and a sister, Marie Reedy. Survived by these children: Mrs. Marguerite Ogline of Somerset RD 5; Donald G. Brant, Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Pauline Will of Somerset, Mrs. Fred (Rosalie) Gearhardt of Boulder, Colo.; also 21 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Retired in 1968 as a refrigeration repairman from the former H. J. Walker Company of Somerset. Member of Grace United Methodist Church and the Laurel Ridge Sportsmen's Club. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, where service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Charles F.
