  ROY B. BRANT
  
    Roy B. Brant, 77, Somerset RD 7, died Jan. 9, 1982, at his
  residence.
    He was born May 26, 1904, in Brothersvalley Township, son of the
  late Bruce and Ida (Zimmerman) Brant.
    He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren; two brothers
  and two sisters.  
    He is survived by widow, the former Geraldine (Poorbaugh) Smith;
  and these children: Ralph Smith, Stoystown RD 2; and Susan, wife of
  Harold Layton, Davidsville; and five grandchildren.
    He was a brother of Millard and Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Sheeler, both of
  Somerset RD 7; John P. of Somerset RD 6; Howard of Somerset RD 5; and
  Mrs. Minnie Merrill, Berlin.
    He was a member of the Ridge United Church of Christ; veteran of
  World War II; and was a retiree of the L. R. Owens Construction Co.
    Friends were received at the Richard E. Hauger Funeral Home, where
  services were conducted with the Rev. David Wetmiller officiating. 
  Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
