Brant, 77, Meyersdale, died Jan. 16, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 31, 1930, in Salisbury, a son of the late Solomon and Mary (Johnson) Brant. Also preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Murray and Olive Moore. Survived by his wife, Gladys (Knox) Brant; and children, Herb Brant and wife, Deborah, Meyersdale; Ann Brant, Somerset; Alvin Brant and wife, Tina, Hyndman; and Joseph Brant and wife, Cindy, Meyersdale. Also nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A brother of Mildred Mishler, Ohio; Mary Mishler, Meyersdale; Betty Deitz, Somerset; Mae Baker, Wilmington, Del.; James Brant and John Brant, both of Springs. Roy loved hunting. Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where a service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. John Butchko officiating Interment Fritz Cemetery.
