  RUSSELL E. BRANT
  
    Russell E. Brant, 87, of Berlin RD 4, died Feb. 6, 1982, at Lee
  Hospital, Johnstown.
    He was born Dec. 9, 1894, in Somerset County, a son of Sanford and
  Cynthia (Wilkins) Brant.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Martha Fisher,
  one brother and two sister.
    He is survived by his wife, the former Celia Boyer, and these
  children:  Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Thomas, Garrett RD 1; Mrs. George
  (Mary) Barkman, Berlin RD 1; Mrs. Walter (Elsie Marie) Ross, Durham,
  N.C.; Ernest, Berlin RD 4; and Earl of York; 16 grandchildren; 16
  great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ross and Mrs. Blanche
  King, both of York.
    He was a member of Beechdale Church of the Brethren.  Death ended a
  marriage union of 67 years.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services were held with the Rev. Donald Deffenbaugh and the
  Rev. William N. Hay officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
