Brant, 91, Somerset, died Dec. 30, 2000, at Somerset Patriot Manor. Born Oct. 26, 1909, in Conemaugh Township, a daughter of Jacob G. and Ellen (Speicher) Stahl. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Webster P. Brant, who died Aug. 27, 1973; brothers, George, Howard, Ira, Austin and Arthur Stahl and sisters, Carrie Mishler, Emma Croyle, Edith Stahl and grace Naugle. Survived by 24 nieces and nephews including nephew Dr. Denton Croyle of Wadsworth, Ohio. Member of First United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and a long time choir member. Manager of the Somerset Hospital snack bar from 1958 to 1980. She and her husband owned and operated Brant's Restaurant in the late 1930s and also managed the Pine Grill for some years. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, at Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, Somerset, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Patricia M. Nelson and the Rev. Dr. Arthur J. Gotjen officiating. Interment in Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 149 W.
