  Ruth G. Brant, 86, Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, Formerly of
  Berlin RD 4, died Jan. 29, 1985, in Lee Hospital, Johnstown.  She was
  born Nov. 1, 1898, in Elk Lick Township, a daughter of Bruce and Annie
  (Wahl) Snyder.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,
  Maurice S., who died October 1984; three brothers, one sister and a
  grandson.  Survived by daughters:  Mrs. Frank (Edna) Phennicie, Mesa,
  Ariz.; Mrs. James (Evelyn) English, Hagerstown, Md.; and Mrs. Leo
  (Dorothy) Bittner, Berlin RD 4; six grandchildren and 12
  great-grandchildren.  Also survived by a sister, Mrs. Richard (Susan)
  Dumbauld, Somerset; and a brother, Howard Snyder, LaVale, Md.  She was
  a member of the Beachdale Church of the Brethren.  Friends will be
  received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home,
  Berlin, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev.
  Kermit Jones officiating.  Interment, Fritz Church Cemetery.
