Brant, 77, 2200 Milton Blvd., Newton Falls, Ohio, formerly of Bakersville, died Dec. 23, 2004, at Laurie Ann Nursing Home after a long illness. Born June 26, 1927, in Somerset a daughter of the late Roy W. Baker and Carrie May Pyle. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death on June 27, 1995, by her husband, Edwin "Pete" A. Brant, whom she married Oct. 6, 1945, and four brothers, Harry, Wade, Earl and Henry Baker. Survived by daughters, Mrs. Fred (Kay) Peace, Newton Falls, Ohio; Mrs. Larry (Debra) J. Jones, Newton Falls, Ohio; sister, Mrs. Mary Gardner, Somerset; grandchildren: Jody Noble, Ackworth, Ga.; Debbie Lee Hipple, Lisbon, Ohio; Lynette Dunn, Newton Falls, Ohio; Angela Wainwright, Newton Falls, Ohio; Jason Jones, Lake Milton, Ohio; and 11 great-grandchildren. Before living in Newton Falls, she lived in Lake Milton since 1953. She was a housewife and a member of the First Church of God, Newton Falls, Ohio. She enjoyed crocheting, camping and picnics. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, Ohio. Service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Church of God in Newton Falls.
