Born in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Mrs. Elsie Grenke, Tallmadge, Ohio, and the late Harvey Brant. He was a former resident of Meyersdale, was a retired construction worker with Carl Belt, Inc. He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of Cumberland Lodge 271, Loyal Order of Moose; the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts in Salisbury; the Haystack Mountain Sportsmen's Club and the Kennells Mill Sportsmen's Club. Besides his mother, survivors include his widow, the former Virginia G. Bruno; one daughter, Mrs. Janet Tracy, Trenton, Ill.; one grandson; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Molyneux, Grand Junction, Colo.; Mrs. Carol Wood, Pawling, N.Y. Friends were received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary. Services were held Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Harold R. McClay Jr. officiating. Interment Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
