Born in Westernport, Md., he was a son of the late William Brashear and Erma (Miller) Brashear. He was formerly employed by the Moran Coal Company. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lola (Michaels) Brashear; three sons: Vance Brashear, Front Royal, Va.; Dave Brashear, Midland, Md.; Willie Brashear, at home; three daughters: Mrs. Frances Gift, Swanton RD 1, Md.; Mrs. Darlene Robinette, Wellersburg; Linda Brashear, at home. Also surviving are four brothers: Paul Brashear, Roger Brashear and Tim Brashear, all of Westernport; Donald Brashear, Barton, Md.; four sisters: Mrs. Fay Spencer and Mrs. Reatha Harris, both of Keyser, W.Va.; Mrs. Ruth Young, Wapakoneta, Ohio; Mrs. Gloria Jean Syroni, Baltimore, Md.; and five grandchildren. Friends were received at the Boal Funeral Home where services were conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Sumner Sawyers. Interment, Miller family cemetery at Stony Run.
