  BRAUCHER
  
  Ruth Berkebile Braucher, 97, of Somerset, died Dec. 22, 2003, at The
  Patriot.  Born Aug. 8, 1906, in Hollsopple, she is the daughter of
  the late William and Jenny (Wolford) Berkebile.  Also preceded in
  death by her husband, Ward L. Braucher and sisters, Dorothy Koontz,
  Janet Shaffer, Elizabeth Dryburg; brothers Charles "Pete" Berkebile,
  Dean Berkebile and Robert Berkebile.  Survived by children: Jack
  Braucher and wife Doreen of Harrisburg and Bonita Braucher Pfrogner
  of Griffin, Ga.  Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 
  Sister of Mary Lou Knigge of Lakeland, Fla., and numerous nieces and
  nephews, including Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Miller of Somerset, Elaine
  Hillegas of Jennerstown and other family members.  Also survived by
  good friend, Carol Paquette.  Interment will be private and a
  memorial service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements under
  the direction of Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home.
