Born March 31, 1916, in United, Westmoreland County, a daughter of James Campbell and Myrtle Mae (Barr) Johnson. Preceded in death by parents, stepfather, Harry Stanley Briner, and son, Dr. Harry E. Funk. Survived by children: Clyde R. "Bob" Funk, New Brighton; Paul R. Funk, Lincolnton, N.C.; Larry T. Funk, Somerset; Jack K. Funk, Denver, N.C.; Randy Brawdy, Somerset; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Sister of: George B. Briner, Calumet; and Mrs. Bonnie Lee Yohman, Scottsdale. Attended Beulah United Methodist Church. 1934 graduate of Hurst High School, former licensed practical nurse, member of the Greensburg chapter of DAR, retired caseworker for the Pennsylvania DPA, was employee of the Somerset office for 25 years, retiring in 1979. Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home, 494 West Main St., Somerset, where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Dennis A Fetter officiating. Interment, St. Paul's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Trauger, Pa. Contributions may be made to Beulah United Methodist Church, Bicycle Road, Friedens, Pa. 15541.
