Born Feb. 12, 1919 in Johnstown, son of Wilder and Mahala (Larily) Brehm. Preceded in death by parents, son Jeffrey Sr. in 1981, infant brother, brothers David, Paul, Emmanuel and Foster, and sister Jennie. Survived by wife of 57 years, the former Joy E. DeAth, sons Harold married to Ammi Ritenour, Jennerstown, and Terrance married to Victoria Polca, Johnstown. Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Brother of George and wife Ethel, Westmont; Mahala Henry, Hollsopple; Olympia Haase of Virginia; and Daniel and wife Ada of Texas. Member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 325 Locust St., Johnstown, and the USWA. Retired employee of the Wheel Division, Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp. with 40 years service. Army veteran of World War II having served in the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe Campaigns. Recipient of the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three bronze stars. Avid hunter, fisherman and gardener. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Route 403 and Church Road, Davidsville. Burial service at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Church, Rev. Father Alvin F. Kimel officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park.
