(Joe) Brennan Jr., 78, Willingboro, N.J., formerly of Somerset and Jerome, died Jan. 20, 1990, in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. Born Oct. 19, 1911, in Scranton, son of late John J. and Annie (McDermott) Brennan. Preceded in death by wife, Eleanor Carey, Dec. 25, 1989; also brother, William. Survived by these children: Carey Anne Harpster, Lewistown; Jacqueline Mason, Burlington, N.J.; Patricia Jane East, Glenolden, Pa.; John J. III, New Orleans, and Daniel, Pemberton, N.J.; also 11 grandchildren and three sisters - Hilda Brougher, Boswell RD 1; Betty Coogan, Lansdale, and Marguerite Kabler, Johnstown. Navy veteran of World War II. Formerly resided in Jerome and Somerset. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 Tuesday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where wake service will be conducted at 8:45 p.m. Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Somerset, Msgr. Samuel Tomaselli.
