Brenneman, 69, died Sunday, February 3, 1985, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland. Born Sept. 19, 1915, in Bittinger, Maryland, he was a son of the late Clark Brenneman and Sarah (Bittinger) Brenneman. He was retired from the spinning department of the Celanese Corporation and had been the owner and operator of Brenneman's Store in Bittinger. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lottie (Hardesty) Brenneman; a son, Lee Brenneman, Bittinger, Maryland; three daughters, Lois Brenneman, Kitzmiller, Maryland; Mrs. Linda Buckel, Bittinger, Maryland; and Lana Brenneman, McHenry, Maryland; four brothers, Dale Brenneman, Bittinger, Maryland; Harry Brenneman, Joseph Brenneman, both of Washington, D.C., Dean Brenneman, Grantsville, Maryland; three sisters, Mrs. June Kelly, Cumberland, Maryland; Mrs. Grace Stark, Mrs. Helen Dunty, both of Baltimore, Maryland; and six grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville. Services were conducted at Emmanuel Lutheran Church by the Rev. David Rockwood. Interment, Bittinger Cemetery. Pallbearers were Russell Brenneman, Ira Yaste, Robert Brenneman, Blake Buckel, George Bowser and George W. Shawley. The Republic, February 7, 1985 [B2613]
