Brenneman, 73, of Bittinger, Md., died December 1 in Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born in Bittinger, he was a son of the late Simon P. Brenneman and Susan (Klotz) Brenneman. His wife, Mary H. (Broadwater) Brenneman, preceded him in death. Mr. Brenneman was a retired farmer, carpenter and maple syrup producer. He was a life member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, a member of the Garrett County Farm Bureau and a charter member of Camp 68, Woodmen of the World. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Hershberger, Bittinger; two brothers, Russell Brenneman, Bittinger; Homer Brenneman, Silver Spring, two sisters, Olive Krause, Meyersdale, Fern Myers, Rawlings, Md., and two grandchildren. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, Md., where services were conducted by the Rev. James Mitchell. Interment in Bittinger Cemetery. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Emmanuel Lutheran Memorial Fund, Northern Garrett Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Buckel, Iva Yaste, Joseph R. Buckel, Roy Beitzel, Ray Sechler, Herbert Buckel, Orval Glotfelty, Elwood Glotfelty, and Lawrence Buckel.
