She was the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Beachy) Otto. In her youth she was united with the Mennonite church and remained a faithful member until death. On October 4, 1891, she was united in marriage with P. G. Brenneman at the Lower Dear Creek Church, by Bishop F. Swartzendruber, and together they lived in matrimony a little over 55 years. Her husband survives. This couple were parents of children all of whom attended their mother's funeral. They are Mrs. Tillie Miller, Iowa City, Iowa; Willis Brenneman, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Omar and Ralph Brenneman, Kalona, Iowa. She also leaves six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two brothers, Jonas and Daniel Otto, Springs, Pa., and one sister, Mrs. Simon Maust of Springs. During the 10 years the family lived in Wellman, Mrs. Brenneman was not in good health. During the last four years her health became steadily worse and she was dependent upon the care of those about her. However, through all these trials she never complained of her lot and always expressed her appreciation of the kindness and loving care of her husband and other members of the family and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon, June 19, in the Wellman Mennonite Church. Interment was made in the East Union Cemetery. Meyersdale Republican, July 3, 1947
