Born in Bittinger, Md., Aug. 25, 1925, he was a son of the late Edward Brenneman and Agnes (Bittinger) Brenneman. He was a retired auditor for the General Accounting Office of the federal government. A graduate of George Washington University, he remained active in a fraternity there. He served in the South Pacific with the Navy in World War II, and was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Washington, D.C. Survivors include one brother, Herbert Brenneman, McLean, Va.; four sisters, Mrs. Ruth Bevans, Arlington; Mrs. Blanche Glotfelty, Addison; Mrs. Mary Eisel, Germantown, Md.; Mrs. Lucy Kelley, Chevy Chase, Md.; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville where services were conducted Friday at 11 a.m. by the Rev. William Borch. Interment, Bittinger Cemetery, where military honors were accorded by Grantsville Post 214, American Legion. The Republic, February 27, 1986 [B2630]
