"Cliff" Brewer, 71, Hooversville, died Aug. 18, 2004, at home. Born March 9, 1933, in Johnstown. Son of Samuel and Martha (Varner) Brewer. Preceded in death by parents, daughter Jackie and brother Dick. Survived by wife of 49 years the former Delores Clark and these children: Judi married to Stan Oakes, Hooversville; Bruce married to the former Kim Andolina, Cairnbrook, and Mark married to the former Karen Holsopple, Hooversville. Also survived by grandchildren Garrett, Nathan, Zachary, Ashton, Logan, Michael and Madison. Brother of Samuel and wife Carolyn, South Fork. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he was Sunday School Superintendent and a member of the choir. He retired from Bethlem Steel Mill. A retired Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War aboard the USS Shenandoah. A member of the American Legion, Stoystown. He served his community often at the food bank in Hollsopple. Family receiving friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the George E. Mason Funeral Home Inc., Davidsville. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Bethel United Methodist Church Hollsopple. The Rev. Robert Moffat officiating. Private Interment Custer Cemetery, Military service by VFW Post 155.
