  BRIER
  
    Charles W. Brier, 87, Somerset RD 6, died Dec. 10, 1989, in
  Somerset Hospital.  Born Jan. 31, 1902, in Mt. Pleasant, son of the
  late William and Barbara (Zelinka) Brier.  Preceded in death by one
  brother, George.  Survived by his wife, Nancy (Stern) Brier; brother,
  Ralph, and sister, Irene Brier, both of Mt. Pleasant RD 5, and sister,
  Gertrude Parfitt, Mt. Pleasant.  A retired glass blower and painter. 
  Member of fraternal Order of Elks, Mt. Pleasant.  Friends will be
  received from 3:30-9 p.m. today at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, with
  the Rev. Sherman Berkey officiating.  Interment, Lavansville Reform
  Cemetery.  Members of Mt. Pleasant Elks will conduct memorial
  services this evening at the funeral home.
