Bright, 82, of Spring Mills, Pa., died Dec. 1, 1995, in Centre Community Hospital, State College. Bright was born on April 7, 1913, in Spring Mills. She was the daughter of the late Michael T. and Lodie G. (Rishel) Zubler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Bright, on Feb. 24, 1979. She is survived by two sons: Fred L. Bright of Geneseo, N.Y.; and James R. Bright of Reedsville, Pa.; three sisters: Sara J. Frazier, Centre Hall, Pa.; Lois E. Snyder, New Bloomfield, Pa.; and Ruth J. Boyer, Spring Mills; two brothers: John R. and Paul M. Zubler, both of Spring Mills; and five grandchildren. Bright, a housewife, graduated from Gregg Township High School and attended Penn State. She was the first director of the Penns Valley Area School lunch program and was later a librarian at the Meyersdale Public Library. Bright was a 50-year member of the Centre Chapter #207 Order of Eastern Star. She was a past matron of the Penns Valley Women's Club of Millheim, Pa. In addition, she was a long-time member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Millheim. Bright also served on the Penns Valley Medical Center's vice was held Dec. 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church, with Rev. James Rill officiating. Visitation was also held Dec. 4 at the church, until the time of the service. Interment, Fairview Cemetery, Millheim. New Republic, December 7, 1995 [B2677]
