Briskey, 78, Meyersdale, died Aug. 6, 2005, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 6, 1927, in Garrett, son of the late Alton C. and Grace (Miller) Briskey. Survived by his wife, the former Ada C. Shuck; three children: Wayne Eugene Briskey and his wife, Deborah, Westbrook, Maine; Kimberly Jane, wife of Michael Dirienzo, Meyersdale and Shawn James Briskey, Meyersdale; five grandchildren: Heather Lee Vickerson, Adrienne Briskey-Fulton, Cassidy Dirienzo, Chase Dirienzo and Cortni Dirienzo. A brother of Robert Briskey, Salisbury; Don Briskey, Friedens; Carol Deal, Salisbury and Ruth Scheffel, Frederick, Md. James retired from H.J. Beamer Ford and Dean O'Neil Ford as a mechanic. A member of Mount Carmel Lutheran Church, White Oak. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Glenn Foster officiating.
