  Mae A. Britt, 93, of Somerset died Aug. 14, 2003, at Somerset Patriot
  Manor.  Born May 29, 1910, in Somerset a daughter of Fred and Agnes C.
  (Barndt) Ankeny.  Preceded in death by parents; husband, Robert Britt,
  who died June 12, 1953; brothers Roy A. and Harry E. Ankeny.  Survived
  by one niece, Mrs. Norma Miller of Somerset; two nephews, Neil E.
  Ankeny and wife Joan of Somerset, Jack D. Ankeny and wife Shirley of
  Somerset; six great-nieces and great-nephews; Barry Miller, Regina
  Miller, David Ankeny, Lynne Dively, Karen Szabo and Randy Ankeny. 
  Six great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.  Member of Grace
  United Methodist Church.  Received her M.Ed. from California State
  College.  Elementary school teacher at Somerset area schools retiring
  in 1975 with 40 years service, member of Somerset County Retired
  Teachers Association, and Pa. Association of School retirees.  Member
  of the former Widomausis Rebekah Lodge.  Friends received from 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home where a
  service will be conducted 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Charles F.
  Olson officiating.  Interment Somerset County Memorial Park.
