    Joseph L. Britz Jr. 82, Somerset, formerly of Hooversville, died
  Dec. 20, 1997, at Patriot Manor, Somerset.  Born Dec. 12, 1915, in
  Hooversville, son of Joseph Sr. and Rose Brachen Britz.  Preceded in
  death by parents and brothers Frank and Anthony.  Brother of John,
  married to the former Eileen O'Connell, Rocky River, Ohio; Margaret,
  married to Ralph Richie, and Lillian, married to Albert Federico,
  both of Bridgeton, N.J.  Graduate of Kings Point Academy.  World War
  II veteran.  Retired from Merchant Marine.  Member of Holy Family
  Catholic Church, Hooversville.  No viewing.  Mass of Christian Burial
  will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at Holy Family Catholic
  Church, Rev. Romulus Rosolowski OFM Conv.  Interment in Holy Family
  Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be given to Holy Family
  Catholic Church, Hooversville, 15936.  Arrangements by Deaner Funeral
