Roy Otto, who was assisted by Rev. Roy L. Kinsinger. Interment was in the cemetery near by. Mrs. Broadwater, who was about seventy-six years of age, died at her home near New Germany Tuesday, after an illness of more than a year. She was a life-long resident of this section. Mrs. Broadwater was a daughter of Wesley and Martha Catherine Bowers and was the widow of William Broadwater, who died some years ago. Surviving are four sons, R. Lee Broadwater, Akron, O., Dewey Broadwater, Westernport, Delbert and Ira Broadwater, New Germany; six daughters, Mrs. Stella Thompson, Cumberland, Mrs. Thomas Wampler, Coraopolis, Pa., Mrs. Peter Broadwater, Barton, Mrs. David Housel, Baltimore, Mrs. Ethel Umberson, Akron, O., and Miss Lula Broadwater, Coraopolis, Pa.; three sisters, Mrs. Eliza Hoover and Mrs. John Green, near Grantsville, and Mrs. John Hare, Jennings; and four brothers, George Bowers and Wesley Bowers, Jennings, William Bowers and Lawrence Bowers, New Germany.
