  CARL W. BROADWATER
  
    Carl William Broadwater, 78, of Grantsville RD 2, MD, died Friday,
  June 22, 1990 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, MD.
    Born March 26, 1912 in New Germany, MD, he was the son of the late
  Nelson and Ada (Chaney) Broadwater.
    He was a retired employee of the Maryland Forest, Park and Wildlife
  Service, Department of Natural Resources.  He was a member of the
  Church of the Brethren.
    His wife, Evelyn (Rounds) Broadwater, died March 7, 1967.
    Surviving are four sons: Robert Dayton Broadwater, Richard D.
  Broadwater, George E. Broadwater and Hubert L. Broadwater, all of
  Grantsville, MD; two daughters: Rosalie Jones, Riverdale; Catherine
  Butler, Grantsville, MD; one brother, Ellsworth Broadwater, Swanton,
  MD; 23 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, MD,
  where services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph
  Lewis.
    Interment, New Germany United Methodist Cemetery.
