Broadwater, aged 40 years, died very suddenly, September 19, 1932. He was born and reared in the Bittinger community. In the year 1915 he married Clara Ellen Stark. To this union six children were born, all of whom survive, namely: Claud, Ethelene, Roy, Guy, Hazel and Perry. His wife preceded him in death last December. He is also survived by his parents, one step brother, Clyde Broadwater, one half-sister, Mrs. Lawrence Brenneman, of Bittinger, and the following sisters: Mrs. E. H. Ault and Mrs. Clara Speicher, Accident; Mrs. Charles Vanderbie, Preston, Minn.; Mrs. Ida Ream, Kidder, Mo.; Mrs. N. Holl, Corvallio, Ore. While very young Mr. Broadwater united with the Church of the Brethren and remained a faithful member to the last. Funeral services were conducted in the Bittinger Lutheran Church, Thursday, September 22, by Rev. C. E. Walls, assisted by Rev. David Straesser. Interment was made in the Bittinger Cemetery.
