  DAVID L. BROADWATER
  
    David L. Broadwater, 61, died July 15, 1983, at Sacred Heart
  Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland.
    Born in Grantsville, Maryland, he was a son of the late Nevin U.
  Broadwater and Myrtle (Glotfelty) Broadwater.
    He was a retired heavy equipment mechanic, having worked for
  various construction companies in Allegany and Garrett Counties.  A
  Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Christ Lutheran
  Church, Grantsville, Md., and Local 37, International Union of
  Operating Engineers, Baltimore, Maryland.
    Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Maxine (Beachy) Broadwater; one son,
  Ronald L. Broadwater, Grantsville; a brother, Richard Broadwater,
  Baltimore, Md.; and three grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville,
  where services were conducted with the Rev. Dewayne Johnson
  officiating.  Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
    The family suggests that memorials take the form of donations to
  the Northern Garrett County Rescue Squad.
