Broadwater, 74, of 54 Armstrong Street, Frostburg, Md., and formerly of 114 North Street, Meyersdale, went to be with her husband on Sunday, March 22, 1998, at Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md. Born June 12, 1923, in Greenville Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Ida (Dietle) Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willard Broadwater, on July 20, 1996. Mr. and Mrs. Broadwater were married Sept. 12, 1940. Mrs. Broadwater was very involved in community activities, having served as the president of the Earl H. Opel American Legion Auxiliary from 1966 to 1968, and president of the Salisbury Firemen's Auxiliary from 1968 to 1970. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had been employed as a waitress for Garf's Sandwich Shop, as well as a homemaker. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed cooking for her family. A loving and devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by two daughters: Patricia A. Keister and husband, Donald, Jacksonville, Fla.; and Carol E. Lucas and husband, Thomas, of Frostburg, Md. (with whom she resided); and six grandchildren: Lori Brannen, Kimberly Rasely, Helen Hillin, Donald Keister, Jr., Melissa Bosley and Michelle Lucas. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren: Damian Keister, Kristin Carlo, Allyson Brannen, Jennifer Hillin, Stephanie Hillin, Ryan Rasely and Kevin Rasely, as well as her newest and special great-grandson, Austin Bosley; a brother, Frank "Joe" Clark, Meyersdale; and a sister, Dorothy Pritts, Callery, Pa. Friends were received March 24 and 25 at Newman Funeral Home, Inc., Salisbury, where services were scheduled to be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 26 (today), with the Rev. David E.
