ELIZA B. BROADWATER

  Mrs. Eliza B. Broadwater, 81, widow of the late Perry H. Broadwater, died at 
her home near Bittinger, Sunday morning, Aug. 18, from a heart attack.  She had 
been ill only a few days.
  She was the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Green and was born at Mill Run, Md., 
Feb. 23, 1865.
  On Oct. 26, 1898, she married Mr. Broadwater, who passed away 10 years ago.
  Surviving are a son, Clyde Broadwater, Lanark, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence 
(Mary) Brenneman, Bittinger; and stepchildren, Mrs. Cora Holl, Albany, Oregon; 
Mrs. Laura Vanderbie, Preston, Minn.; Mrs. Fannie Ault and Mrs. Clara Speicher, 
Accident, Md., and 31 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services were held in the Bittinger Lutheran Church, Wednesday 
afternoon, Rev. J. C. Beahm, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, of which she 
was a faithful lifelong member, assisted by Rev. C. H. Runze, officiated.  
Interment in the Bittinger Cemetery.
