  GERTRUDE V. BROADWATER
  
    Gertrude V. Broadwater, 73, Boynton, died Jan. 9, in Baltimore.
    Born May 2, 1893, in Southampton Twp., she was a daughter of
  William H. and Ellen (Grove) Bittner.  Her first husband, Russell C.
  Walker preceded her in death, Feb. 26, 1947.
    Surviving are her husband, William Broadwater, Boynton; and these
  children: William R. and Paul Walker, Boynton; John A. Walker and
  Mrs. Jane Barnhart, Baltimore; Mrs. Mary Schrock, Salisbury; and Mrs.
  Anna Belle Christner, Frostburg.  There are 14 grandchildren and a
  number of great-grandchildren.
    She was a sister of Calvin Bittner and Mrs. Nora Thompson, both of
  Boynton.
    She was a member of the Church of God, Boynton.  Funeral service
  will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. in Thomas Funeral Home,
  Salisbury, with Rev. Lloyd Ace officiating.  Interment will be made
  in Salisbury IOOF Cemetery.
