  IRA R. BROADWATER
  
    Ira R. Broadwater, 78, of RD 2 Grantsville, Maryland, died May 12,
  1984, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Maryland.
    Born in Lonaconing, Maryland, he was a son of the late William
  Broadwater and Alice (Bowers) Broadwater.
    He was a member of the Meadow Mountain Mennonite Church, the
  railroad local and had been employed as a railroader and a part-time
  farmer.
    Surviving are his widow, Mary H. (Otto) Broadwater; five sons,
  William Broadwater and Frederick Broadwater, both of Baltimore; Odell
  Broadwater, Thomas Broadwater and Willard Broadwater, all of
  Grantsville; five sisters, Mrs. Stella Thompson and Mrs. Ida
  Broadwater, both of Cumberland; Mrs. Ethel Guthrie, Akron, O hio;
  Mrs. Dolly Hansel, Baltimore, and Mrs. Gladys Broadwater, Corapolis,
  and nine grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home.
    Services were conducted in the Trinity United Church of Christ, New
  Germany, by the Rev. Edgar Miller and the Rev. Mark J. Stewart. 
  Interment was in Grantsville Cemetery.
