    JAMES M. BROADWATER
    
      James M. Broadwater, 81, Star Route, Grantsville, Md., died Jan.
  14, 1979, in the Garrett County Memorial Hospital, Oakland, Md.
      Born in Garrett County, Md., he was a son of the late Peter H.
  Broadwater and Ellen (Broadwater) Broadwater.
      He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Grantsville Post
  214 American Legion.
      Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hester (Colfesh) Broadwater; three
  sons, Ernest Broadwater and Dayton Broadwater, both of Grantsville;
  Ellis Broadwater, Accident, Md.; one daughter, Mrs. Verda House,
  Grantsville; two brothers Edward Broadwater, Grantsville; Albert
  Broadwater, Addison; two sisters, Miss Oma Broadwater, Grantsville;
  Mrs. Lucinda Wilt, Baltimore, Md.; one grandchild and one
  great-grandchild.
      Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home where services
  were conducted by the Rev. Walter Otto.  Interment, Grantsville
  Cemetery.
