   Luke J. Broadwater, 77, Somerset, died March 14, 2007, at home. Born Feb. 2, 1930, in
  Meyersdale, the son of William and Ida (Hosselrode) Broadwater. Preceded in death by
  parents. Survived by daughter, Donna Brule, Dallas; son, Wayne Broadwater, married to the
  former Linda Nair, Somerset; granddaughter, Courtney Broadwater; and sister, Marcella
  Landis, married to Edwin P., Berlin. Graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. He
  was a Korean era U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was a switch operator for the former B&O
  Railroad. A member of Somerset American Legion Post 181 and a life member of the Somerset
  VFW Post 554. He enjoyed watching sports on TV. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4
  and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, where a service will be held 3
  p.m. Sunday. Pastor Will Osman officiating. Interment Berlin IOOF Cemetery. Memorial
  contributions may be given to Messiah Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 126, Rockwood, PA 15557.
  The Somerset County Honor Guard will provide graveside military honors.
