  MERTIE BROADWATER
  
    Mrs. Mertie V. Broadwater, 94, Star Route, Grantsville, Md., died
  at her home.  She had been in ill health for several years.
    Born in New Germany, Md., she was a daughter of the late Christian
  J. and Clara (Ardnt) Otto, and was the widow of Floyd H. Broadwater.
    She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ.
    Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Albert Warnick, Mrs. Leota
  Murray and Mrs. Mabel Stanton, Grantsville, Md.; Mrs. Rosella
  Wampler, Frostburg, Md.; and Mrs. Freda Lewis, Thurmont, Md.; three
  sisters, Mrs. Rosaline Broadwater, and Mrs. Ruth Otto, Akron, Ohio;
  Mrs. Gretchen Broadwater, Three Springs, Md.; 12 grandchildren and 16
  great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held Monday at Trinity Church with Rev.
  Ernest Rumbaugh officiating.  Interment, Trinity Church Cemetery. 
  Funeral arrangements were in charge of Newman Funeral Home.
