  RUBY F. BROADWATER
  
    Ruby F. Broadwater, 85, of the Goodwill Mennonite Nursing Home,
  Grantsville, Md., formerly of Moscow, Md.; died Friday, Sept. 23,
  1988, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Cumberland, Md.
    Born June 28, 1903, in Avilton, Md., she was the daughter of the
  late Lewis and Mariah (Stark) Broadwater.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Hillary Broadwater, in
  July 1984.
    Surviving are two sons, Ellsworth Broadwater, Cresaptown, Md.; and
  Clinton Broadwater, Lonaconing, Md.; five daughters, Mrs. Leona
  Shearer, Springfield, W.Va.; Mrs. Violet Bledsoe, Grantsville, Md.;
  Mrs. Vera James and Mrs. Shirley Thomas, both of Baltimore, Md. and
  Mrs. Phyllis Meyers, Highland, Md.; 16 grandchildren; 24
  great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
    Friends were received at the Boal-Warnick Funeral Home, Lonaconing,
  Md., where services were conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. by Pastor Alan
  Birkby.  Interment, Laurel Hill Cemetery, Moscow Mills.
