  VESPA W. BROADWATER
  
    Vespa W. Broadwater, 73, of Blackville, S.C., died Tuesday, July
  24, 1990 in Humana Hospital, Augusta, Ga.
    Born in Jennings, MD, on Nov. 22, 1916, she was the daughter of the
  late Jesse and Sarah (Wiley) Broadwater.
    Her husband, Harry N. Broadwater, died Jan. 18, 1959.  Two sons
  also preceded her in death.
    Surviving are two sons, Reid Broadwater, Farmville, Va.; Jerry
  Broadwater, Chesapeake, Va.; five daughters:  Selva Jean Dickerson,
  Blackville, S.C.; Maxine Hare, Streetsboro, Ohio; Inez Bittinger,
  Parsons, Tenn.; Jo Ann Broadwater, Virginia Beach, Va.; and Connie
  Hewitt, Olar, S.C.; one stepdaughter, Lola Bittinger, Grantsville,
  MD; one brother, Lester Broadwater, Lonaconing, MD; two sisters, M.
  Pauline Bittinger and Duella Resh, both of Grantsville, MD; 16
  grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and
  two step=great-grandchildren.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville, MD,
  where services were held Friday at 11 a.m.
    Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
