  WILLIAM E. BROADWATER
  
    William Edward Broadwater, 82, of Star Route, Grantsville, Md.,
  died Thursday, Oct. 6, 1988, at Garrett County Memorial Hospital,
  Oakland, Md.
    Born May 23, 1906, in Fairview, he was the son of the late Peter
  Harvey and Dorcas Ellen (Broadwater) Broadwater.
    He was a retired farmer.
    Surviving are one brother, George Albert Broadwater, Meyersdale,
  and a number of nieces and nephews.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home, Grantsville,
  where services were conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph
  Upole.  Interment, Grantsville Cemetery.
