  BESSIE M. BROCHT
  
    Bessie M. Brocht, 61, of Garrett RD 1, died May 3, 1980, at
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.
    She was born March 31, 1919, in Rockwood, daughter of Simon and
  Mary E. (Resh) Atchison.  She was preceded in death by her father,
  two brothers and one sister.  She is survived by her mother, of
  Rockwood RD; her husband, John V.; and these children:  Ronald of
  Meyersdale; Mary Ellen, Rock Falls, Ill.; Roy L., Beltsville, Md.;
  Paul E., Greenbelt, Md; Stanley, Savage, Md.; Mrs. Oscar (Janet)
  Merrbach, and Esther Lynn, both of Salisbury; and four
  grandchildren.  She was a sister of:  James and George Atchison, both
  of Rockwood; Mrs. John (Mary) Sullivan of Shanksville; and Mrs. Basil
  (Iva) Tacker, Springfield, Ark.  She was a member of the Garrett
  Church of the Brethren and the Garrett Senior Citizens.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin,
  where services were held with the Rev. William F. Phennicie
  officiating.  Interment, Highland Cemetery.
