Brocht, 74, of Garrett RD 1, died April 19, 1980, at Windber Hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1905, in Garrett, a daughter of Henry and Hattie (Walters) Weaver. She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her husband, William L.; and these children: Floyd E. Sweeney, Edgewater, Md.; Mrs. William (Helen) Reiss of Choctaw, Okla.; and Bruce H. Brocht, Meyersdale. Also 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a sister of: Mrs. Irma Goodrum, Princeton, Ill.; George Weaver, Aultman; Mrs. Scott (Edith) Curl, Port Ritchie, Fla.; Mrs. Leroy (Pauline) Hostetler, Ravenna, Ohio; Mrs. Alice Fullerton, Camp Springs, Md.; Mrs. Joseph (Rowena) Glass, Oxon Hill, Md.; Mrs. John (Ruth) Tressler, Meyersdale; Mrs. Galen (Reba) Brocht and Mrs. Luella Kennell, both of Garrett. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society of the church, the Garrett Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Garrett Senior Citizens. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were held with the Rev. Earl E. Meyers officiating. Interment, Highland Cemetery, Garrett.
