Christena, better known as "Dolly," was born April 28, 1916, in Garrett, a daughter of the late Emma Baker and stepdaughter of the late Irvin Baker. Also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Alfred Brocht at the early age of 65. Dolly is survived by three children: Emma Jean, wife of Eugene O'Neil, Fairhope; Kay, wife of Harold Crissinger, Meyersdale; and Charles "Rick" and his wife, Michele, Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren: Tammy Hoover, Heidi O'Neil, Michael O'Neil, Cynthia McCormick, Brenda Burner and Emily Brocht; five great-grandchildren: P.J. McCormick, Derek McCormick, Jeremy McCormick, Megan Burner and Matthew Burner; and one great-great-grandson, Jackson McCormick. She attended Garrett Public School and later was employed by the local shirt factory. Christena was a member of the Mount Tabor Lutheran Church in Garrett where she attended regularly and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. Following the death of her husband, Dolly gave up her home in Garrett and moved to Meyersdale where she attended the Zion Lutheran Church. Her later years were spent at the "Rest Assured Living Center" in Meyersdale. Christena was a devoted daughter, loving mother and a very dear friend to those who knew her. She left a legacy of love, lessons and faith to her children. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where a service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Robertson and the Rev. Glenn Foster officiating. Interment Highland Cemetery, Garrett. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to "In Touch" Hospice, 1590 N. Center Ave., Somerset, PA 15501 or Mt.
