Brocht, 77, Garrett, died Sept. 23, 1984, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born May 16, 1907, in Garrett, daughter of Henry and Hattie (Walters) Weaver. Preceded in death by parents; children, Galen H., in 1929; Geneva Decker, in 1968; Richard, in 1970; and three brothers and five sisters. Survived by husband, Galen; daughter, Mrs. Donald (Bernie) Custer, Grantsville, Md.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters, Mrs. Irma Goodrum, Princeton, Ill.; Mrs. Peter (Pauline) Hostetler, Ravenna, Ohio; Mrs. Louella Kennell, Garrett; Mrs. John (Ruth) Tressler, Meyersdale; and Mrs. Edith Curl, Mrs. Rowena Glass and Mrs. Alice Fullerton, all of Washington, D.C. Member of Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church and church choir for 46 years. Taught Sunday School for many years. Also member of Garrett Senior Citizens and Highland Cemetery Association. Friends were received Monday evening and will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) at Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Tabor Lutheran Church, the Rev. Clarence Anderson and Rev. William Phennicie. Interment, Highland Cemetery. Body will lie in state in church from 1 p.m. until time of service.
