  Vera Ellen Brocht, 82, of Meyersdale, died June 30, 1988, Meyersdale
  Community Hospital.  Born Jan. 6, 1906, in Ralphton, a daughter of
  the late William and Annie (Blough) Miller.  Also preceded in death
  by her husband, Henry G. Brocht; two brothers, Merle and Carl Miller;
  and a sister, Grace Coventry.  Survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jack
  (Lois) Whitford of Meyersdale; and a granddaughter, Miss Jeannie
  Whitford of Meyersdale; also a number of nieces and nephews.  She was
  a member of the Meyersdale Church of the Brethren.  Friends will be
  received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday with
  Pastor Robert Robertson officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery.
