  BROCKUNIER
  
  Alfred Brockunier, Sr., 89, of Jennerstown, died Sept. 10, 1987, at
  Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 5, 1897, in Johnstown, son of
  William and Catherine (Mauthe) Brockunier.  Preceded in death by
  parents; infant son; sister, Mary; and brothers, Harry, John and
  Charles.  Survived by wife, the former Marion L. Griffith; sons, Dr.
  Alfred Jr., married to the former Dorothy Kirk of Pelham Manor, N.Y.;
  and Griffith R. "Dick," married to the former Florence Lohr,
  Jennerstown; also 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. 
  Member of Bethlehem Management Club; retired melter for Bethlehem
  Steel Corporation; Army veteran of World War I where he served in
  medical corps; observed 65th wedding anniversary Oct. 2, 1986. 
  Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home,
  Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m.
  Monday with the Rev. Joseph M. Beer officiating.  Interment,
  Jenner-Crossroads Cemetery.
