BRODERICK Gerald Michael Broderick, 74, of 937 Bishop Walsh Drive, died Monday, May 27, 1985, at his residence. Born in Avilton July 29, 1910, he was a son of the late Joseph Broderick and Ethel (Robeson) Broderick. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Frostburg. He was a retired employee of the County Roads Department. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. LaRue C. (Wassen) Broderick; four daughters, Mrs. Colleen Shaffer, Cumberland, Md.; Mrs. Manda Baer, Meyersdale; Mrs. Patricia Wiland, Cumberland, Md.; Miss Margaret Broderick, Frostburg, Md.; two brothers, James Broderick, Frostburg, Md.; Joseph Broderick, of California; three half-brothers, Frank Broderick, Canton, Ohio; Thomas Broderick and Patrick Broderick, both of California; three sisters, Mrs. Cecilia Dawson, Hyattsville, Md.; Mrs. Anna Pressman, Frostburg, and Mrs. Helen Durst, Grantsville, Md.; one half-sister, Mrs. Patricia Knotts, Akron, Ohio, and six grandchildren. Services were conducted Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Cumberland, by Father Robert Hopkins. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers were William Wiland, Otis Baer, James Shaffer, Frank Broderick, Wayne Durst and Albert Charles Divelry. The Scarpelli Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
