  BROOKS
  
  Miss Jessie Brooks, 88, of Stepping Stones, Somerset RD 1, died Jan.
  7 in Somerset Community Hospital.  She was born Oct. 24, 1884, in
  South Connellsville, the daughter of the late William and Mary
  Babbage Brooks.  She lived most of her life in Connellsville and was
  retired from the U.S. Postal Service at the Connellsville Post
  Office.  She was a member of the Central Fellowship Church of
  Connellsville.  Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Walter T. (Anna) Smith
  of Somerset RD 1 and a niece, Mrs. Norman (Muriel) Pyle with whom she
  resided.  Friends will be received in the Brooks
  Funeral Home, 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, from 4-9 today, where
  services will be conducted Tuesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. William R.
  Keyes.  Interment in the Chestnut Hill Cemetery."
