Brougher, 81, Jerome, formerly Quecreek, died July 25, 2004, at Country Manor Living in Jerome. Born Jan. 14, 1923, in Quecreek, the daughter of the late Clark and Mary (Benbenek) Brougher. Also preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Turney and Betty Tressler. Survived by sister Marie Beistel, Somerset, and brother, Edward "Bud" Brougher, Jennerstown, several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Member of Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. Former employee of the former Dorfman and Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell, Chrysler Car Plant in Detroit, Mich., and the Oaks Poultry Plant. Graduate of Somerset High SchooL. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Christ Casebeer Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis L. Doebler officiating. Interment in the Jenners Crossroad Cemetery.
