"Willie," Brougher, 68, Ankeny Ave., Somerset, died Dec. 21, 1980 in McGinnis Hospital, Ligonier. He was born in Somerset, Sept. 22, 1912. He is survived by his wife, Reva Reid Brougher; one son, James W., West Mifflin; two grandchildren, Kathleen Vivian and Joseph James; several nieces and nephews; including Vivian and Carl Perian, Ligonier. Member of the First Christian Church. Veteran of World War II, served in U.S. Navy, first class gunners mate. Participated in 14 major battles, received three gold stars and two silver stars. He was a member of F.O.E., Somerset Aerie 1801 and he operated Brougher's Electronics Service in Somerset. Friends are being received at the Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home, where service will be conducted Wednesday 11 a.m., the Rev. Gene Sellers officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park. Daily American, December 23, 1980 [B2827]
