Brown, 61, Somerset RD 1, died Feb. 19, 1988 in his home. Born Nov. 25, 1926 in Somerset, a son of Emma (Pyle) Brown, Somerset RD 1, and the late August Brown. Survived by his wife, the former Helen Jean Harkcom; and these children: Wanda Lee, Newburg; Cindy Ann, wife of James Kuhns; and Brian Edward, both of Lewisville, Texas; two grandchildren: Mary Anne and Matthew Lee Kuhns, Lewisville, Texas; one sister, Betty Dunmeyer, Somerset RD 1. His death terminates a marriage union of 38 years. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Veteran of World War II. Served with the U. S. Navy. He was employed at Gilmour Manufacturing Co. and former employee of Acme Market, with 25 years service in Somerset. Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Robert H. Halverson Funeral Home. Services 10:30 a.m. Monday in St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Rev. Glenn Sadler officiating. Interment, St. John's Cemetery. Body will lie in state at the church one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Church of Christ or the Hospice Unit of Somerset Community Hospital.
